My muse is being evil. Or has gone into hiding…I haven’t decided which. (Perhaps both are true.) But poetry seems beyond my grasp for now. However, writing won’t be stopped. I’m working on the Character Development whitepaper I’m planning to release this weekend. (Can you believe June is just around the corner? I sure can’t!)

Folks, I’m taking it back to basics. I got so wrapped up in attending writing groups that I wasn’t finding the time to actually write. I’m toning down my calendar a bit and spending some time just writing. That’s not to say I’m ditching the community offered by writing groups. But some reformatting is in order–my critique group has decided that maybe we want to shift from critiquing to writing for a bit, so, you know, we actually have work to critique.
If you’re in a writing group and critiquing is getting stale, mix it up with some workshops and write-ins.
